Tips for grooming your Aussie.

Updated: Oct 15, 2020

Your puppy will leave here with a bath & nails done. Puppies are bathed with a gentle puppy shampoo. Shampoo left on your puppy’s skin can cause itching or other problems, so make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse. Dry puppy as much as you can with a towel, then brush.

Make sure you keep your puppy warm til finished drying. As your pups get older they will need regular grooming.

Here's some recommended products that will do the trick.

Fresh Pals by Rinse Ace Super Absorbent Microfiber Pet Towel: These towels are great for drying dogs or puppies as it soaks up all the water from their coat. These are about $5.00 at Walmart.

A Slicker brush or a Rake will be the best thing to use on their coats: My go to brush especially for adults and deshedding. I use this brush after I have gotten most of the undercoat out. It brings out the shine in their coat. You can get this brush at any pet store including Wal-Mart, or Tractor Supply.

Double Side Brush: Great brush for introducing puppies to being brushed.

Oster De-shedding Monster: This brush is used for matts and to de-tangle hair. This brush also cuts the coat. I have this brush and it has blades in the curved part of the metal teeth. I only recommend this brush to use on matts behind the ears, britches and the flags on the front legs. This brush should not be used on the body of the dog.
